Starting this Thursday, April 24, all classes will be cancelled. The U.S. Championships require us to repurpose a lot of our space, and it is difficult to host our regularly scheduled programming. However, we will present a very speicial lecture on Thursday featuring GM Konstantin Landa.

He will present a lecture from 7 pm to 9 pm. The lecture, titled Improving the Position of Your Pieces is geared for tournament players, but all are welcome. Landa is a Russian Grandmaster, with a FIDE rating of 2639, and is the trainer for many accomplished Grandmasters.

We will still host the ever-popular Friday Action Quads at Lester's Restaurant the next two weeks on Friday, April 25 and Friday, May 2. Registration will be at the club, but people are encourage to go to Lester's immediately after they register to order food and drinks.

Then, on May 4 at 7:30 pm, GM Sam Shankland will present a special lecture at Lester's on Attacking a Color Complex

Also, during the U.S. Championships we will hold Friday Night Blitz at Lester's on May 9 and May 16. Come on out to enjoy these awesome events!
