Introducing the 2015 Innovation Madness Chess Tournament, a FREE, knockout-style, bracket-buster designed to crown the King or Queen of the Saint Louis innovation community.
Registration is limited to the first 128 participants, so sign up today!
Round 1 takes place on Thursday, March 12, and players have the option of playing their first round at either 4 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. (64-player max in each section). Round 2 will take place Thursday, March 19.
All games will take place at Venture Cafe, located in the @4240 building at 4240 Duncan Ave. in the Cortex Innovation Community.
Rounds will be played each Thursday beginning March 12th 2015 @ 4 p.m. through April 2nd, 2015 at 4 p.m.

Thursday, March 12
- Round 1.1: Game in 10 minutes | Best of 3 [64-player max] @ 4 pm
- Round 1.2: Game in 10 minutes | Best of 3 [64-player max] @ 5:30 pm
Thursday, March 19
- Round 2: Game in 15 minutes | Single Elimination [64 players] @ 4 pm
- Round 3: Game in 15 minutes | Single Elimination [32 players] @ 4:45 pm
Thursday, March 26
- Round 4: Game in 15 minutes | Single Elimination [Sweet Sixteen] @ 4 pm
- Round 5: Game in 15 minutes | Single Elimination [Elite Eight] @ 4:45 pm
Thursday, April 2
- Round 6: Game in 15 minutes | Single Elimination [Final Four] @ 4 pm
- Final: Game in 10 minutes | Best of 3 [Championship Game] @ 5pm
Prize Fund:
1st Place: $1,000
- Winner also will receive an annual Joint Family Membership to the Chess Club and World Chess Hall of Fame along with a Beautiful Rosewood Chess Set and Board
2nd Place: $500
- Winner also will receive an annual Joint Family Membership to the Chess Club and World Chess Hall of Fame; Vinyl Chessboard and Tournament-style Set
3rd Place: $300
- Winner also will receive an annual Joint Family Membership to the Chess Club and World Chess Hall of Fame; Vinyl Chessboard and Tournament-style Set
4th Place: $100
