The Saint Louis Chess Club will be hosting our monthly Knights tournament online through Lichess.org!

Format:

4SS; G/60+5
This event is NOT USCF rated
One Open Section

Registration & Entry:

Must be a monthly or annual member of the Saint Louis Chess Club
Registration ends at 6:30 PM on August 6th
Entry: No entry fee
MUST be a member of the Saint Louis Chess Club Discord server
- You will be required to check in through Discord 20+ minutes in advance before each round
- Pairings & real time tournament updates will also be posted on Discord

Rounds:

Every Thursday in the month of July at 7:00 pm
- 4 rounds of G/60+5

Prize fund:

USCF classical ratings will be used to calculate prizes

Top finisher overall receives an annual Saint Louis Chess Club membership and a free 1 hour lesson with the Grandmaster in residence
Top U2000, U1600, and U1200 will receive a free 1 hour lesson with the Grandmaster in residence
All tiebreakers will be decided by a best of two 15+2 match followed by a blitz armageddon match if necessary

OUR MISSION It is the mission of the Saint Louis Chess Club, an educational organization, to maintain a formal program of instruction to teach the game of chess and to promote and support its educational program through community outreach and local and national partnerships to increase the awareness of the educational value of chess.

POLICY ON RELATIONSHIPS AND INTERACTIONS WITH MINORS

The integrity of Saint Louis Chess Club’s relationship with minor players is paramount to the Chess Club’s educational mission and success. All individuals employed by or working under the direction or authority of the Saint Louis Chess Club are expected and required to maintain appropriate boundaries and relationships with minors (individuals under the age of 18 years) and are strictly prohibited from engaging in sexual misconduct, hazing and harassment.
