About Me

I'm a 24-year-old chess enthusiast with experience playing both in casual and tournament settings. I have 2 years of experience teaching/tutoring high school students and specialize with children and teen students.

Specialties

Basic Piece Checkmates, Tactics, Opening Theory/Fundamentals, Scotch Gambit, Pirc and King's Indian Defense

Good Student Match:

Kids, Casual Players, Novice Tournament Players

Playing Experience:

High school individual and team tournaments for 4 years. 6 years of casual play following that.

Teaching Method:

I am a flexible teacher and will work at whatever level or intensity you desire. I can teach people who want to improve their tournament game or simply those looking to discover the fun chess can provide.

OUR MISSION It is the mission of the Saint Louis Chess Club, an educational organization, to maintain a formal program of instruction to teach the game of chess and to promote and support its educational program through community outreach and local and national partnerships to increase the awareness of the educational value of chess.

POLICY ON RELATIONSHIPS AND INTERACTIONS WITH MINORS

The integrity of Saint Louis Chess Club’s relationship with minor players is paramount to the Chess Club’s educational mission and success. All individuals employed by or working under the direction or authority of the Saint Louis Chess Club are expected and required to maintain appropriate boundaries and relationships with minors (individuals under the age of 18 years) and are strictly prohibited from engaging in sexual misconduct, hazing and harassment.
