About Me

I’m 18 years old and will be starting college at SLU in the fall. I’ve been teaching chess for 6 months and have been playing competitively and casually for 7 years now.

Specialties

Basic tactics and basic strategy, Opening fundamentals, basic checkmates, London System, Queen’s Gambit, French Defence, King’s Indian Defense

Good Student Match

Adults or teens preferred, but more than willing to teach anyone who’s enthusiastic about the game regardless of age or skill level.

Playing Experience

Several dozen tournaments during Middle School. Team tournaments in High School for 4 years. Part of the Corporate Chess League.

Teaching Method

I will work on whatever you need to become a solid and principled chess player. If you already know basic chess principles, I am more than happy to teach more advanced concepts to help to further improve your game.
