St Louis Chess Pocket Parks are inviting outdoor spaces where chess enthusiasts of all ages can gather to play, learn, and connect with the community. Featuring permanent chess tables, artistic installations, and a welcoming atmosphere, these parks make the game accessible to everyone.
The Saint Louis Chess Club enhances the experience by offering free weekly lessons and training sessions from April through September, ensuring that both beginners and seasoned players can sharpen their skills in a fun and engaging environment.
Each Saturday, while you’re out enjoying our free lessons at any Chess Pocket Park, the Saint Louis Chess Campus will also be collecting supplies for families in Saint Louis Public Schools impacted by the May 16 storm. Simply drop any of the items below at the lesson table—our team will handle delivery.
Can’t make a Saturday? You can still leave donations anytime at the Saint Louis Chess Club or the World Chess Hall of Fame.

The Saint Louis Chess Club has installed permanent chess tables, creating Chess Pocket Parks, throughout St Louis City and County. In order to expand the appreciation and knowledge of chess, the Saint Louis Chess Club will host chess lessons and training for a few hours each week.
