Biography
About Me
Hello! My name is Vinny, I am currently in my second year of UMKC’s medical program. Chess has been a large and central part of my childhood from playing in tournaments, teaching lessons, and directing tournaments. I enjoy teaching private lessons because it allows me to impart that knowledge and experience to anyone who’s willing to learn.
Specialties
Analysis, Strategy, Endgames
Good Student Match
Complete beginner, casual, or looking to improve specifics. I can tailor the lesson to whatever helps you learn.
Playing Experience
I recently took a brief hiatus to adjust to college life, but I’ve attended many tournaments, probably a couple hundred, here at the STL Chess Club and in several other states over the course of seven or so years.
Teaching Method
My method all depends on you, the student. In my experience (and I think most can agree), everyone learns differently. Some improve with a structured lesson plan, and others benefit more from playing real-time games and understanding their weaknesses. And, those aren’t the only two options. So, I would love to find what works best for you and start from there!
