The Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis (CCSCSL) is continually promoting chess to individuals and groups of all ages. The CCSCSL provides in-person opportunities to coach and train instructors to bring chess into the classroom. But what if you are unable to visit the Club and desire these skills?
Grandmaster Yasser Seirawan has graciously provided a Chess Curriculum aimed at teaching chess to beginning players in a classroom setting. Research increasingly shows that chess can be used as an educational tool in the classroom.
