Mariya Muzychuk

Mariya Muzychuk is a Ukrainian Grandmaster and two-time consecutive Ukrainian Women’s Champion in the years 2012 and 2013, as well as the 2015 Women’s World Champion. She has a peak rating of 2563, and has been ranked as high as number five in the world. Mariya has represented the Ukrainian National Team in several chess Olympiads, earning team gold at the Chennai Olympiad in 2022, silver at the Batumi Olympiad in 2018, and bronze in 2012, 2014, and 2016. Additionally, she helped Ukraine win the European Women’s Team Championship in 2013. Muzychuk participated in two Cairns Cup events in 2020 and 2022, placing third in both events
