Biography

Ruiyang Yan is a FIDE master originally from Northern California. She is currently ranked #4 among U.S. Girls under 21 and #13 among women overall. Yan’s tournament achievements include winning the 2021 Ruth Haring National Tournament, as well as finishing third in the 2021 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, followed by second place finishes in both the 2022 and 2023 U.S. Girls’ Junior.
