Alice Lee

Alice Lee is an American International Master and two-time consecutive U.S. Girls Junior Champion (2023, 2024). She is currently ranked number 2 among U.S. girls under 21 and is the second-highest among women overall in the U.S. She is also ranked number 5 on the FIDE Top 100 Girls list. Lee is a three-time gold medalist at the World Youth Championships, winning the Girls’ U10 section in 2019 and then back-to-back titles in the 2020-2021 Girls’ U12. Earning her International Master title in 2023, she became the youngest American woman ever to do so. In 2022 and 2023, Lee placed second in the American Cup, later winning the event two years consecutively in 2024 and 2025. 2025 will be Lee’s second Cairns Cup appearance after her debut in the event in 2024. Lee is aspiring to achieve Grandmaster norms, and win the prestigious Cairns Chess Queens Award, a prize awarded to the first five women to achieve the Grandmaster title in the United States.
