Timothy Taylor is an American International Master and author of many chess books. He has won the US Open (tie with GMs Shamkovich and Soltis). He made his first IM norm at Lone Pine 1978 and secured his final norm by winning the Frank J. Marshall International of 1982 in New York. He has had the honor and privilege of playing some of the most famous players in the game, past and present, including Ljubomir Ljubojević, Viktor Korchnoi, Bent Larsen and Magnus Carlsen.
