Biography
International Master Nico Chasin of New York City received the wild card for the 2025 U.S. Junior Championship. He is a 7-time National Scholastic Champion, a member of the All-America Chess team every year since 2016, the 2022 U.S. Cadet Champion, and the Bronze Medalist at the 2018 U12 World Cadet Championship (sharing the podium with D. Gukesh and Volodar Murzin!). He graduated from high school in June and will attend the University of Chicago in Fall 2026 after taking a gap year to concentrate exclusively on chess.
