I first started playing chess when I was around 4 or 5 when my dad taught me to play on this Marvel themed chess set I had growing up. I lost promptly and quit out of frustration but discovered a great interest in the game later when I was in high school. Since then I have been competing in tournaments regularly and learning more about the game. I’ve worked with many titled players as coaches, some being IM Mateusz Kolosowski and IM Rohan Talukdar. I continue to work with very talented titled players at the Saint Louis Chess Club to further improve my game. I recently graduated from Truman State University with a B.S. in Mathematics, where I also participated in the chess club until I graduated. Now I work in Saint Louis full time to teach and play chess.

I’ve been playing in tournaments in the Saint Louis area for the past 5 years. One notable result I had was winning the 2023 Missouri Reserve State Championship in clear first place.
