Title: Grandmaster

Biography

About Me

I have a major in Public Relations, and I’m currently doing an MBA at Webster University. Some of my hobbies are reading books, going to the theatre, swimming, and, of course, playing chess. I consider myself passionate about helping others improve. Lessons for me are not only about explaining chess patterns, but also about conveying a message and using simple language that will help connect with the student.

Specialties

Middlegame and Endgames. Although I have experience working on openings, I fervently believe that developing critical thinking by adding patterns will help a chess player reach higher levels.

Good Student Match

Any student who is willing to work and have love for the game.

Playing Experience

As a player, I reached my peak rating at the age of 25; however, I became FM at the age of 9, IM at the age of 13, and GM at the age of 17. I gained many Pan-American titles. In fact, the first Pan-American that I won, with a score of 9 of 9, was U10 in 2001 in Argentina, where I competed against none other than Fabiano Caruana, one of the 2700 or 2800 that I had the privilege to work with.

Teaching Method

I like to focus more on discovering the chess talent or style that all of us as chess players have, and to polish that. I focus mainly on patterns of recognition while reinforcing the student’s intuition by explaining and discussing various positions, with the goal of strengthening Critical Thinking.
