About Me

I've always enjoyed a variety of strategy and board games, and chess is no exception. While my tournament playing days were while I was much younger, I've kept a strong interest in the game throughout the years, and enjoy it more now as a casual activity and as an opportunity to educate others.

Specialties

Basic Fundamentals, Basic Openings and Endings, Board Analysis

Good Student Match:

Students starting with the basics and looking to gain the skills to play casual chess.

Playing Experience:

Entered USCF tournaments as a kid, was a member of a chess club in middle school and college.

Teaching Method:

Once we've gone over the basics of chess, I prefer interactivity in my lessons, usually involving slowly playing through a game and analyzing what is and isn't a good strategy.
