I discovered the game of chess at an early age when my mother would drag my brothers and I to our local public library. I was soon looking forward to our dreaded library visits as I developed my love for the game. Nothing was more exciting for my six-year-old self than a daring sacrifice leading to a brilliant combination or an incredible comeback victory! Twenty years later, I still have an ardent enthusiasm for chess and sharing my knowledge of the game.

OUR MISSION It is the mission of the Saint Louis Chess Club, an educational organization, to maintain a formal program of instruction to teach the game of chess and to promote and support its educational program through community outreach and local and national partnerships to increase the awareness of the educational value of chess.
