Aimee Yang

Aimee Yang, who hails from the Philadelphia suburbs, is the highest rated player on the U.S. Chess Federation’s May Girls Under 12 list and is number 11 on the Under 21 list. She tied for first place in the National K-6 Chess Championship held in Baltimore this past spring. 

Yang, who first came to international prominence by taking second place in the Girl’s Under 10 section in the 2024 FIDE World Cadet Championships in Montesilvano, Italy, will be making her debut in the U.S. Girls Closed Championship. She is the highest rated female player in the state of Pennsylvania.
