Alice Lee

Alice is one of the great young talents of American chess. Currently rated the 35th rated women in the world at 2415, and the fifth rated female under 21, Alice, along with teammates Gulrukhbegim Tokhirjonova, Carissa Yip, Irina Krush and Anna Zatonskih, helped the U.S. women to the bronze medals at the Budapest Olympiad in 2024. This was only the third time American women have won a team medal (2004 and 2008 were the others). To make it even more of a success Alice and Carissa both won individual board medals.

Alice had an outstanding performance at the 2025 Cairns Cup. Despite being the lowest rated player she finished second, nearly making a Grandmaster norm in the process. The previous year, in her Cairns Cup debut, she scored a very credible 4 from 9. Will she continue her success in St. Louis where she has won three consecutive (2024, 2025 and 2026) American Cups?
