Evan Park

International Master Evan Park of Pittsburgh, who will be a senior in high school next year, earned his spot in this year’s event by qualifying from the 2024 U.S. Junior Open. Evan, who is the President of Global Outreach for the philanthropic group, Chess Through Challenges, has been a member of the US Chess All-America Team every year since 2019. He made his first Grandmaster norm in the 2024 U.S. Masters in Charlotte, North Carolina, defeating GMs Brandon Jacobsen, Emilio Cordova and Viktor Matviishen in consecutive rounds enroute to a rating performance over 2700 FIDE.
