Jasmine Su

16-year-old Women’s International Master Jasmine Su of Darien, Connecticut, was taught to play by her father when she was seven.  Jasmine, who is coached by Grandmaster Melik Khachiyan, has been making steady progress the past few years and in late 2025 earned her FIDE Master title. Two of her recent successes are winning the 2024 North American Youth Girls Under 18 Championship and the 2025 Kasparov Chess Foundation’s All-Girls National Championships under 16 section.

This will be Jamine’s third US Girl’s Championship. She was = 4th in her debut in 2024 (5-4) and shared fifth place in 2025 (4 ½ – 4 ½). 

Jasmine is a member of the Darien High School cross country and track teams with personal bests of 2:32 for 800 meters and 5:35 for the mile.
