Biography

Semyon Lomasov is an Israeli grandmaster and former u14 World Champion originally from Russia. His junior accolades include winning 1st in the 2012 European Rapid Youth Championship u10, silver medal at the 2014 European Youth Championship u12, 1st in the 2016 Russian Youth Championship u14, and 1st in the 2016 World Youth Championship u14. He was also the winner of the 2018 Moscow Open, 2018 Russian Champion u21, and won team gold as the first board for Russia in the 2017 World Youth u16 Chess Olympiad. Lomasov earned the International Master title in 2015 and became a Grandmaster in 2021.
