Brute Force Robotics Kids' Beginner Tournament

Open to students 7-12 years old with a USCF rating less than 600 or Unrated

The Brute Force Robotics team will be on-site to demonstrate their custom-made robots

100% of entries goes toward the Brute Force Robotics team

Entry Fee: $20

Please register at saintlouischessclub.org by Saturday, 9/23 by 6:00 pm

Space is limited to 24 players

On site registration available day of event until 2:15 if spots are still available

2 Sections:

Knights (for players with a USCF rating or have won a number of casual games)

Rookies (for players just starting out but know how to checkmate)

3 Rounds

3:00-3:30-4:00

Time control: G/10 (each side starts with 10 minutes on their clock)

Prizes: Winner of each section receives an Annual Membership to the Saint Louis Chess Club

Raffle: All participants are entered into 5 random drawings to win fantastic chess prizes!

Event is not USCF rated

A membership to the Saint Louis Chess Club or USCF is not required to participate

OUR MISSION It is the mission of the Saint Louis Chess Club, an educational organization, to maintain a formal program of instruction to teach the game of chess and to promote and support its educational program through community outreach and local and national partnerships to increase the awareness of the educational value of chess.

POLICY ON RELATIONSHIPS AND INTERACTIONS WITH MINORS

The integrity of Saint Louis Chess Club’s relationship with minor players is paramount to the Chess Club’s educational mission and success. All individuals employed by or working under the direction or authority of the Saint Louis Chess Club are expected and required to maintain appropriate boundaries and relationships with minors (individuals under the age of 18 years) and are strictly prohibited from engaging in sexual misconduct, hazing and harassment.
