Dog Day Duels 2020 Online
The Saint Louis Chess Club will run a scholastic chess tournament on Lichess.org. In order to compete students must sign up for a free account on Lichess.org prior to the tournament and join the section in which they would like to play.
The three sections are as follows:
The Experienced Section is for experienced tournament players with established USCF ratings;
The Rook Section is for tournament players with less experience;
The Pawn Section is for players newer to tournament chess.
The Experienced Section will be a standard Swiss style tournament. The Experienced Section will be a 5 round tournament. The Rook and Pawn sections will be an Arena style tournament. Players in those sections will play as many games as possible during the total time allotted for the tournament.
Each section of the tournament requires a password for entry.
Once registered, Scholastics will send you a password to complete your entry on Lichess.org.

Prizes
For each section the top four players by total points will be awarded a free online chess lesson by the Grandmaster in Residence from the Saint Louis Chess Club. The top female finisher in each section will receive a Grandmaster Lesson.
Honest and fair play is required for players to receive prizes. This tournament is not US Chess rated but will affect your Lichess.org rating.
