Nana Dzagnidze

Nana Dzagnidze is a Georgian Grandmaster and four-time and current Georgian Women’s Champion in the years 2003, 2004, 2008, and 2025, the highest-rated Georgian woman with a peak rating of 2573, as well as the tenth highest-rated woman in the world. She has represented Georgia in many prestigious team competitions, winning several medals including team gold at the 2008 Dresden Olympiad, team gold in the 2015 World Team Championship, as well as an individual gold at the 2014 Tromso Olympiad. Dzagnidze was also the winner of the 2017 European Individual Chess Championship, and shared a first place victory in the third leg of the FIDE Women’s Grand Prix in March of 2020.
