Trombonist Charlie Halloran and his brother, guitarist Tommy Halloran are Saint Louis natives who grew up playing together in the city. In 2008, Charlie Halloran moved to New Orleans, where he quickly established himself as a fixture on the traditional jazz and Frenchmen Street scene. He has since been recognized as one of New Orleans’ top trombonists in Offbeat Magazine, named a rising star in Downbeat Magazine, contributed to Jon Cleary’s Grammy-winning ‘GoGo Juice’, recorded with U2, Rickie Lee Jones, the Squirrel Nut Zippers, and Pokey LaFarge, among many others. Back in Saint Louis, his brother leads Tommy Halloran’s Guerrilla Swing, a mainstay on the STL music scene and voted Best Jazz in the RFT Music Awards in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Joining the brothers is renowned drummer Montez Coleman (McCoy Tyner, Russell Malone), saxophonist Kristian Baarsvik, and bassist Maxwell Kelly.
