By Tony Chen, Scholastic Coordinator
On Saturday, October 13, the Saint Louis Chess Club hosted its Halloween Havoc scholastic chess tournament. Halloween Havoc was a important tournament as it marked the beginning of our second Grand Prix season. In order to compete in the Grand Prix, 192 young chess players showed up at Lafayette High School to battle for a early lead in the season. After 4 long rounds, the individual and team winners were determined below.
The Saint Louis Chess Club would like to thank all the players, parents, coaches, and community partners that make our monthly tournaments a success. Please join us next month for our November tournament, Turkey Tango, on Saturday, November 18 at the Saint Louis Science Center.
