The Chess Club would like to welcome WGM Jennifer Shahade, who will take the reins as our next Resident GM until March 28. In addition to our normal lecture schedule, Jennifer also will be conducting some special "Queen Power" events at the World Chess Hall of Fame.
Celebrate Women’s History Month with a two-hour “double feature” on Wednesday, March 19, with Woman Grandmaster Jennifer Shahade, Rotating Grandmaster at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis and author of Chess Bitch! Begin with a lecture on influential female chess players past and present, then stay for a class featuring notable women’s chess games.
6-7 p.m.: Lecture
7-8 p.m.: Chess Class
This event is free and open to the public.
RSVP to claire.grothe@worldchesshof.org or 314-367-9243 x 105. Please indicate if you will be attending the lecture, class, or both.
