2024 Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz: Day 2 | #GrandChessTour

Live from the World Chess Hall of Fame, the 8th Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz is the third of five legs of the Grand Chess Tour. Five of the Tour players are joined by five wildcards (roster below) for a rapid round robin and a blitz double round robin. Today are the middle three rounds of the rapid round robin. Join GMs Yasser Seirawan, Peter Svidler, & Cristian Chirila, and IM Nazi Paikidze for the move-by-move.

The 2024 Grand Chess Tour returns stateside for the Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz from August 12-16, followed immediately by the illustrious Sinquefield Cup from August 18-29. Elite international grandmasters (listed below) leave it all on the board in the Capital of Chess in America! From classical to blitz, the quest for the Tour crown will come to a close.

OUR MISSION It is the mission of the Saint Louis Chess Club, an educational organization, to maintain a formal program of instruction to teach the game of chess and to promote and support its educational program through community outreach and local and national partnerships to increase the awareness of the educational value of chess.

The integrity of Saint Louis Chess Club's relationship with minor players is paramount to the Chess Club's educational mission and success. All individuals employed by or working under the direction or authority of the Saint Louis Chess Club are expected and required to maintain appropriate boundaries and relationships with minors and are strictly prohibited from engaging in sexual misconduct, hazing and harassment.
