The newest stop of the Grand Chess Tour is here. The 2018 Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz will feature all nine of the 2018 Grand Chess Tour Players with GM Leinier Dominguez for the wildcard totaling 10 Players. This will be a three day Rapid Rounds, two day Blitz Rounds with a cash prize of $150,000.00. Live Commentary provided by GM Yasser Seirawan, GM Maurice Ashley, and WGM Jennifer Shahade.

2018 Ultimate Moves

Following the 2018 Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz and before the Sinquefield Cup, the Grand Chess Tour players are drafted to play a six-game blitz team exhibition. A player executes five moves before letting the next in rotation "up to the plate."

OUR MISSION It is the mission of the Saint Louis Chess Club, an educational organization, to maintain a formal program of instruction to teach the game of chess and to promote and support its educational program through community outreach and local and national partnerships to increase the awareness of the educational value of chess.

All individuals employed by or working under the direction or authority of the Saint Louis Chess Club are expected and required to maintain appropriate boundaries and relationships with minors and are strictly prohibited from engaging in sexual misconduct, hazing and harassment.
