The ninth annual Grand Chess Tour hosts the world's best players (listed below) competing in four countries for a $1.5 million prize fund. The circuit began in May with the Superbet Rapid & Blitz Poland in Warsaw, the Superbet Chess Classic in Bucharest, and the SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz Croatia in Zagreb. It concludes beginning August 12 with the Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz and the Sinquefield Cup.
If you missed it, here is what happened on the the third leg of the Grand Chess Tour. Fabiano Caruana clinched his title as SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz Croatia champion with five rounds to spare! This didn't air during the program.
