Scholastic Tournament Blog: 2018 Mayhem In May

By Tony Chen, Scholastic Coordinator

As the school year comes to an end, ideas for summer break begin to grow in everyone’s minds. Even with thoughts of fun in the sun, 180 dedicated young chess players gathered at Lindbergh High School on May 19 for the Mayhem In May Scholastic Chess Tournament. After four rounds of grueling matches, the top players (below) stood head and shoulders above the rest.

The Saint Louis Chess Club would like to thank all the players, parents, coaches, and community partners that make our monthly tournaments a success. Please join us next month for our June tournament, Summer Showdown, on Sunday, June 24, at Il Monastero Banquet Center on SLU campus.
