The fourth round of the U.S. Chess League was pivotal for both teams, since the Scorpions were 1-2 and the Arch Bishops a paltry 0-3! But we were able to get on the scoreboard with a real team effort.

As expected, the first day of the Kings vs. Queens tournament produced the fireworks everyone had hoped for! Taking into consideration the fast pace of both formats (rapid and chess960), the games were exciting, uncompromising and thankfully for the spectators, not free of mistakes and heartbreakers.

After running three consecutive U.S. Championships that featured record-breaking prize funds and unparalleled conditions, a new brainchild of the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis was christened tonight.
OUR MISSION It is the mission of the Saint Louis Chess Club, an educational organization, to maintain a formal program of instruction to teach the game of chess and to promote and support its educational program through community outreach and local and national partnerships to increase the awareness of the educational value of chess.
