About Me

I am a Woman's Candidate Master and US Chess expert, and I have won multiple Missouri scholastic state championship titles (K3, K5, K8, high school & girls). I also represented Missouri in the Barber Tournament of K8 Champions, Haring National Girls Tournament of Champions, and Denker Tournament of High School Champions. In addition, I am a 7-time qualifier to the World Youth Chess Championships.

Specialties

Tactics and calculation.

Good Student Match:

Kids, Female Chess Players

Playing Experience:

I have been playing tournaments for 10 years, in both local/state scholastic events and adult events. I have also participated in a variety of national and international events abroad.

Teaching Method:

I firmly believe that tactics are the most fundamental and important way for beginners to learn and improve quickly. Therefore, the majority of time will be spent solving puzzles (starting from mates & basic themes toward more complex themes, endgame puzzles, defensive puzzles and possibly even positional puzzles). I strongly encourage students to play rapid training games as a way of practicing their skills, so I can analyze with them and evaluate mistakes. Overall, this results in a high-effort and high-engagement approach with the student as I believe this is the best way to improve.
