Sara Herman recaps Day 3 of the SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz Croatia 2024. Taking place at The Westin Zagreb, the SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz is the fifth edition in our Croatia series and the third of five legs of the Grand Chess Tour. Seven of the Tour players are joined by three wildcards (pairings below) for a rapid round robin and a blitz double round robin. Today were the final three rounds of the rapid round robin.

National titles are on the line as young phenoms and established legends convene in the Chess Capital of America, Saint Louis,. Mo. for the 2024 U.S. Senior, U.S. Junior, & U.S. Girls' Junior Championships. Beginning July 16, 30 players across three fields will compete for over a $130,000 prize fund! Champions Melik Khachiyan and Alice Lee return, while Christopher Yoo attempts to reclaim his title after missing the Juniors last year.

OUR MISSION It is the mission of the Saint Louis Chess Club, an educational organization, to maintain a formal program of instruction to teach the game of chess and to promote and support its educational program through community outreach and local and national partnerships to increase the awareness of the educational value of chess.

The integrity of Saint Louis Chess Club's relationship with minor players is paramount to the Chess Club's educational mission and success. All individuals employed by or working under the direction or authority of the Saint Louis Chess Club are expected and required to maintain appropriate boundaries and relationships with minors and are strictly prohibited from engaging in sexual misconduct, hazing and harassment.
